The Five Tenets
How to love your preborn neighbor as yourself.
-
The Bible clearly says that God rules over all things that take place. He is sovereign over all. Everything that was and is and is to come has been foreordained by God for his glory. He is the primary actor in history. He raises up rulers and puts down rulers and changes times and seasons (1 Samuel 2:6–8). He will do what He wills and yet He has not revealed to us the full counsel of His will. However, He has revealed to us His standard of righteousness and justice and His commandment to love our neighbor. Our responsibility is to be faithful. We strive for Biblical justice with the Bible and entrust our actions to the hands of our sovereign God.

As we say elsewhere, “we believe that only the Gospel can address the foundational issue of abortion; sin…” For this reason, the Gospel is central to abolition. “Do not murder” is a clear command of God (Exodus 20:13; Matthew 5:21–26). Only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, the atoning sacrifice for our sin, can this guilt of murder be removed. Only by trusting in Jesus can one be reconciled to God the Father. Only in Christ, is one born again, and freed from the enslaving power of sin through which the devil carries out his schemes in abortion. The Gospel alone is the “power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16, cf., James 1:18, 21; 1 Peter 1:22–25).

Since the Church is alone entrusted with the Gospel, it must lead the call of abolition. The Bible sets forth God’s view of abortion, His standards of justice and righteousness, and His will for His people. Therefore, a Biblical response is needed to abortion. This is proclaimed and heralded by the Church. Moreover, the Church has the command to love our neighbors. In loving our neighbors, we follow Christ, whose love was costly. Per Christ, we are to“go, and do likewise” (Luke 10:37). “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).
Now although the church must lead the call of abolition, this does not mean that persons of other faiths cannot participate in abolition. They can still understand and agree with equal protection for the preborn. The key area in which the Church cannot join arms with unbelievers is the Gospel. The Gospel, as the power of God, must be protected, kept distinct and pure from other false gospels that deceive and damn, including the false gospel of Roman Catholicism.

By the word of God, we evaluate legislation. God in his word says, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13). God also says, “Hate evil, love good, and establish justice in the gate” (Amos 5:15). Legislation that tolerates, permits, and regulates murder deviates from the word of God, and is iniquitous (Isa 10:1). This type of legislation compromises on Biblical justice. And thus we will not compromise by supporting compromised legislation. To do so would be to show partiality, and pervert the right of the fatherless. We will not ally ourselves with the wicked who frame injustice in statutes (Psalms 94:20). Legislation that honors God is legislation that would guarantee equal protection for the preborn from the moment of fertilization.
Our aim is to make it clear to our governing authorities what is demanded of them by Almighty God who has set them in place. Our command is to establish justice. To deny immediate justice by drawn out pragmatic approaches or incremental legislation rejects God’s command and replaces in its stead an approach derived from human wisdom.

By what standard do we judge abortion to be immoral? By what standard do we evaluate legislation to be moral or immoral? Righteous or unrighteous? Just or unjust? The standard of God’s word. The Bible is our only authoritative rule in fighting abortion. When we engage biblically on abortion, we bring the authority of God to bear. We uphold the Word of God as the standard to the world, and we tell our magistrates to bow the knee and to “kiss the Son”, lest they perish in His wrath (Psalms 2:10–12).
On Equal Protection
Without the knowledge of sin, there can be no repentance and without repentance, there can be no salvation. We dare not set the law aside lest we pervert the Gospel and block the way to repentance and belief, and thus salvation. Therefore, we reject the heresy of the pro-life movement that labels aborting women ‘victims.’ We dare not join in with them and block the way to their repentance and salvation. We will not shut the Kingdom of God in men's faces (cf., Matthew 23:12-13). We will not say with the false prophets of old, “peace, peace” when there is no peace (Jeremiah 6:14, 8:11). We lovingly point out the sin of abortion and at the same time, we point to Christ as the only One who can erase the stain of our sins (Isaiah 1:18).
